Cyprus Tourism Surges – Nearly €2 Billion Generated in 2025

Cyprus continues to shine as one of the Mediterranean’s most desirable destinations, with tourism revenues soaring to nearly €2 billion between January and July 2025.

According to the latest figures from the Cyprus Statistical Service, tourism income rose by 17.4% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching an impressive €1.89 billion. July alone brought in €513 million, up from €474 million the year before.

This growth highlights not only the island’s enduring appeal but also its strong economic performance, with visitors from the UK, Israel, and Poland leading the way.

Who’s Visiting Cyprus?

  • United Kingdom: 32.2% of total arrivals, spending around €100 per day.
  • Israel: 13% of arrivals, with daily spending at a generous €151 per person.
  • Poland: 7.4% of arrivals, averaging €90 per day.

Other European travellers also made their mark: visitors from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, and Switzerland all spent around €900–€1,100 per person during their stays.

Notably, American tourists stayed the longest, averaging almost 13 nights and spending €1,114 per person.

Overall, arrivals for July 2025 reached 589,116, compared to 551,229 last year, with the average stay length rising slightly to 9 nights.
