Lemba Village in Paphos, Cyprus
A truly charming village, Lemba is located 5 kilometres west of Paphos. The village sits on top of an escarpment overlooking the Mediterranean, and is surrounded by open fields and orchards. Lemba is one of the most ancient villages in Cyprus and has survived much of the development going on around it. Paphos town and Kato Paphos are 15 minutes away. Lara Bay and the beautiful Akamas Pennisula are a 20-minute drive and Coral Bay is only 10 minutes on a lovely coastal road.
This Lemba area produces citrus fruit, olives, tomatoes, bananas and a large variety of vegetables.
Even though Lemba has the atmosphere of a small, peaceful Cypriot village, buses run regularly into Paphos, and restaurants, cafes and a supermarket are all within walking distance. The internationally recognized Cyprus College of Art is situated in Lemba and the village has several small pottery and art shops making it ecclectic and unique. The artists that are seen throughout the village bring a whole different character into the village.
